ROO RETREATS
What are Roo Retreats?
Roo Retreats are designed for true rest and reconnection. It's more than just sleep; it's about letting go of daily burdens and allowing ourselves to simply be. Intentionally crafted, these weekend retreats focus on self-discovery through nature, good company, nourishing food, and conversations. This is a space for relaxation, reflection, and connection, where you don’t need to prove your worth—just be yourself.

-
What's included in the retreat?Round trip transportation from the Twin Cities 2 nights of lodging Meals + snacks throughout the weekend Activities like nature walks, guided meditation, canoeing, arts + crafts, and community cooking
-
Where do we stay? All Roo Retreats will include a stay in a cabin or lodge with individual beds and indoor plumbing. We cannot guarantee private bedrooms or bathrooms, but we will do best to accommodate your needs. Retreat locations will be about a 1-3 hour drive from the Twin Cities metro area.
-
What should I bring? You will receive a full packing list before the trip. We'll cover your basics (linens, meals, first aid kit), but we recommend comfy clothes, water bottle, and anything that helps you feel grounded and relaxed.
-
How many people will be there?Retreats are intentionally small and intimate, typically between 10-15 folks including your Roo Trips guides. Enough to build community, but never overwhelming.
-
How does transportation work?We will pick up all travelers in a 12-15 passenger van (depending on availability). You will be picked up at the address provided when you registered. Timing and routes will be prepared and communicated the week of the trip.
-
I have dietary restrictions. Can you accommodate me?We do our best! Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available. Let us know your dietary needs when you register, and we'll work with you to make sure you're fed and happy.

-
Do I need to come with a friend or can I come solo?Come solo, bring a friend, or roll with your whole crew. Roo Retreats are designed to make everyone feel welcome. Many folks come alone and leave with new friends!
-
Is there cell service or Wi-Fi?Amenities may vary, but we do our best to select locations that offer Wi-Fi and provide signal in case of emergency. However, we encourage you to unplug as much as possible in order to truly disconnect and be present.
-
Will there be alcohol or is it a sober space?Roo Retreats are generally sober spaces to create a safe, inclusive environment for all. Trust us - joy, connection, and late-night laughs hit just as hard without the booze.
-
What's the vibe - more chill or structured? The itinerary includes guided activities, but everything is optional. You can join a group hike or spend time journaling by the lake. It's all about what you need that weekend.
-
Do I need to be in shape to join activities? Not at all. The activities are beginner-friendly and low pressure (though not always handicap-accessible). Move at your own pace, rest as you need.
-
Can I attend if I don't live in Minnesota?Absolutely! As long as you can meet at a location in the 7-County Twin Cities metro for pick ups and drop offs, you are welcome to join us.
